Is it possible to turn off avatars?

I'm afraid it's not possible in this build of the board software, but it probably will be in the next one.

One easy solution is to use firefox and the web-developer plugin which allows you to suppress images/etc.

Without avatars and smilies, the site site looks more professional so you can get away with using it at work!

I just find all the extra gubbins distracting and annoying, all I want to do is read what you written, not look at a picture and especially not one that moves.
