Bristol Water, who own large parts of Mendip including GB, Charterhouse Cave etc, are about to be bought out by a Spanish company called Agbar

I don't know what this means (if anything) for caving on Mendip. I know that access to GB etc is managed by CCC Ltd on behalf of Bristol Water / Somerset Wildlife Trust, so maybe there will be no noticable changes?

Bristol Water flogged the land containing G.B. etc 10 years ago. This will have no effect at all.

I doubt it will matter, I can imagine the Spanish companies are much less anal about things than UK/USA companies.

Chris, Andy, did you not read my post? BWW flogged this land off 10 years ago. This can make no difference at all to caving in the Charterhouse area.

Yes, but this was a hypothetical answer... ie if a Spanish company did own a cave anywhere they wouldn't care too much about access agreements :!:

Yes, Graham. Fully understood. I was just making light of it on the grounds that it doesn't make the slightest bit of difference who owns what.
