Hi all
Hopefully i'm posting this in the right place!

i'm joined you via the c**tplaces forum, am really interested in getting into caving but a bit unsure as to where to start. most people i explore with prefer overground so would be great to guided in the right direction.

probably your nearest port of call would be the mendip area ,ther are plenty off people on this forum would gladly help you out

...or better still travel the extra hour to Derbyshire.

Isn't Croydon in Surrey? They have a club if memory serves.

Why not come along and meet the Wealden? We have an active Surrey membership, and have regular trips to local sites in the area. We meet in a pub in Merstham once a month. The next time will be 7th December - next week. PM me for details, and have a look at www.wcms.org.uk. The public side of the website, though mainly geared up to promote the Reigate caves as an attraction, also has some basic details of the club, and will soon be expanded to show much more of what we do.

We also go caving in Somerset, and occasionally elsewhere, by the way!

Watch out for that Wolfart - he has some strange nautical wellington habits that i am going to be subjected to this weekend :shock:
