You could not have gone far enough down then as there is about 3 foot of water at the bottom.

!!News Release!!

"In the depths of one of the largest open mines on Earth strange things have been happening. It started 2 months ago when they hit a large outcrop of some unidentified pink rock! The mine manager immediately got in the best geologist in the area, Dr Khastnakovicknistik, who organised a concentrated data gathering operation, including taking drill samples from deep into the outcrop. It was during one of these drilling operations that disaster struck. They ruptured an extremely high pressure cavity of what can only be described as Calpol, causing it to be be fired up 3km into the air and showering the whole of the neighbouring town Mirny.
So far there has been 3 reported dead and 2500 reported cured!"

Type in "Mirny, Russia" on Google Earth.
