Something found in fields by P8, 01/11/08

Something shiny and expensive has been found in a puddle in the fields on the walk in to P8 at about 3pm today (01/11/08).

If you've lost something shiny  go and visit Hitch and Hike and describe your missing item and it will be returned.

I think it was a York CC group down when we were.

I think you mean 2nd November!
I got a note on my car (The green one) and will ask all my members if anything was lost.  I'm with Chesterfield BTW but there was another group there also, didn't get to talk to them so don't know if it was York.
A quick check show that I haven't lost anything shiny, as a rule I don't take anything into a cave which isn't necessary but I can't speak for the others)
Was the item caving equipment or "other"? - Also, male or female (if applicable) That info would make it easier to track down who has lost it

It was caving kit. I just did not want to announce exactly what it was in case 'anybody' who found the note decided they wanted one, regardless of it being theirs or not. Guess I'm a bit cynical.
Anyway, once arriving at the 1st pitch they would have defenatly noticed it was missing!

Oh and yes, I meant the 2nd. Bl~@dy watch.

I don't think it was anyone from York, I believe our trips were down Giants last weekend.  Still I've posted your message on our club forum in case there was another trip on that weekend.

I only thought it may have been you guys because Keith at Hitch N Hike mentioned he'd hired some helmets to you. It was just a guess really.

There was a group of four from Lincoln Caving Club down P8 on Sunday so i'll let them know about this thread. I know one of them discovered that they had forgotten a useful bit of gear for geting down the pitch so if it isn't sat in his hallway it could be his.
