Titan to JH & Peak cavern

What's the connection like at the moment. Planned trip this weekend but don't fancy it if the only way out is back up!

Hi Stu,
I went down Titan last Sunday and after a trip up pilkingtons came out of Peak. Then the connection was absolutley fine, not even really all that wet.

Not been lately myself but a few of the boys have been down and I haven't heard tell of any epics.....

It will be fine. It only sumps between them after very heavy rainfall, and only twice in the last year do i know it of doing this.

If not you can still just bail it, or free dive! (it's only about 2m)

Did you guys have a problem with Block Hall or The Ventilator?
I have heard that Block Hall is particularly awkward and even that it may need re-rigging.

my advice, go in either end and miss the nasty crawling shite in the middle

I didn't manage to make it. Sounded like a long day for some though.

Yer but that would mean that people would actually have to prusik up TITAN! Surely no one can do this!

Maybe as part of the access agreement people should have to go up it once for every 2 times down.

Or all those that go down have to attend a titan rope washing session.

Or parties that go down and through should have to walk up cave dale rather than driving

Or they have to pull a bucket out of the dig at the top.

Or the people that go down Titan and out peak have to walk back up to Titan and get the lister started to winch up those that came out Titan
and save them 50 metres of prussiking!

I remember giggling at all the people that said "have you been down Titan yet" when the top connection was done.
"whats the fuss about? i went up titan years ago "

no fuss really. thats why we are coming up with jobs for the people who only go down. I think it easier to go up titan than JH.
