The CNCC has been providing training opportunities for northern cavers for over 50 years, helping to deliver skills ranging from first aid, conservation techniq

Training will focus on keeping a casualty safe and warm, moving and positioning them to maintain airway and breathing plus improvisation of first aid equipment. The aim is to get cavers thinking about the kit they carry and help improve their knowledge and skills should they encounter a first aid emergency underground.
Suitable for: Any caver who would like to learn first aid appropriate for a caving environment. No previous first aid knowledge required.
Format: A two day course - one day classroom based, the second underground

Candidate prerequisites: Caving experience. Previous first aid knowledge helpful but not essential.
Meeting instructions: 9.00am to 5.30pm each day.
Meeting location: TBC with signups closer to the time (somewhere close to Horton in Ribblesdale anticipated).
To bring: Day One - comfortable clothing which you don't mind getting a bit dirty/wet. Some training will be done outside so bring waterproof clothing. Day Two - full caving kit including SRT kit, helmets etc., Coffee and tea will be provided on Day One. Please bring lunch both days and your own drink Day Two.
