Some of you Mendip cavers may know Matt Helliker - our local climber and mountaineer who recently qualified as an Alpine Guide and now lives and works in the Alps.  Matt's current venture gives 'living on the edge' a whole new meaning.  A first ascent of a new route up an 8000 metre peak using Alpine techniques - ie: a small unsupported team.  Take a look at:
