Can highly recommend this campsite for cavers and canyoners, just outside Grenoble in Le Vercors.

Run by eco minded, canyoner and fluent French speaker, Ben. Often came round in the evenings to recommend some great canyons.

Pre-booking recommended. Very happy to take big groups. Very reasonable pricing (even by student standards). Includes water and electric and swimming pool. Option to include short term summer labour, first aid application and invites to music festivals to see Ben play the drums.

Camped several times at L? Oursiere camp site in Villard de Lans. It was used during by several Brit cavers during the  2006 EuroSpeleo Conference. It has good facilities, is close to the village and you can walk from the camp site up the Col de L?Arc with its very dramatic ridge.

Autrans has camp sites which are the ones to use for the Sornin plateau which has the Berger system.
