Phone signal in Kingsdale
« on: December 20, 2018, 08:15:30 am »
I noticed yesterday that I now pick up a phone /4g signal consistently in Kingsdale, so I'm assuming they've turned the new mast on now. This is in addition to the mast that covers Barbondale and large amounts of Casterton fell. Possibly these both only work on EE and derivatives but that should mean emergency calls are now possible from any network.

I've received O2 signal in Kingsdale for a while, at least at the Braida Garth / Valley Entrance parking spot.

Various phones now receive mobile signal at Bull Pot Farm (possibly only upstairs).

The signal checker is often useful but not infallible. For the whole postcode covering our main research site in South Wales it merely says "We could not find any data for your location" but one of our squad can get a signal in the doline bottom while the rest of us can get a signal at various points on the hillside.
