40 Years Since "Underground Eiger"
« on: January 16, 2019, 01:29:38 pm »
A great historic caving milestone. 40 years ago today, Geoff Yeadon and Oliver Statham, completed the dive from Keld Head to West Kingsdale Master Cave on 16th January 1979.

The Yorkshire Television documentary is always a good watch.

...and Geoff is still caving.  He's on a trip today with Badlad and 'The Chums' before a pint or two this evening.  Probably in the Orange Tree, Kirkby. If you're in there, buy him a pint  :beer2:
