Frozen krab at Aquamole entrance

On immerging from Aquamole to a beautifully frozen Kingsdale, we couldn't get out krab at the entrance open as it had frozen shut. It is trapped there along with the sling used to rig. If anyone goes in the following days when it's warmed up a bit, please can you help us retrieve it and return it to Sheffield?

Gold petzl S'md, yellow and purple tape, and red 120cm sling, black and white tape.

Will pay in beer or cake. Thanks!

Is it reachable without putting SRT gear on? I'm often out running and can probably go that way during the week - then again Aquamole Pot is a popular trip so the chances are someone will be going there soon anyway.

Frozen Krabs can usually be defrosted using warm bodily fluids  ;D (assuming you can be bothered to unzip your suit and get a good aim!)

and you don't mind your assets being frozen!

Its right in the entrance so very reachable if you're out running, thanks!
Although we did try the classic bashing with a simple, weighting it and warming it up and it still wouldn't come undone, we even went back today and couldn't get it so it may just be jammed.

No - but if they did what was being suggested, I'll take some latex gloves and a plastic bag to put the krab in!!

Hoping to get out for a look later today.

I suspect if she wanted to use Dave's method then Louise might need to improve her aim significantly  :-\

Got 'em.

Good job I took a pair of nut pliers in the bum bag; the sleeve on the krab was well jammed.

Don't worry about the beer or cake you offered - always happy to help a fellow caver. (Folk have done similar things for me in the past.)

Send us a PM, to discuss the best way to return your stuff.

Thanks - OK, unless I hear differently from the OP, that's what I'll do.

Should hopefully get there before the weekend to fill up (subject to the weather, which may interfere with diving plans this week - Kingsdale Beck was flowing strongly this morning and Rowten was rumbling well, with fine spray coming up the eyehole, impressively).

I'll let you know off- forum, once delivered.

In't caver post great?  :clap2:

Thanks so much guys. It was quite a shiny new krab so I'd be sad to see it go!

I did receive some abuse for 'wasting' precious krab warming juice at the bottom of the cave....
