15 year old Amy Freeman recently undertook work experience in the library and as part of that she produced a book review which I would like to share with you now. Thanks Amy.

Rising Water
Marc Aronson
$17.99
The story of the twelve members of the Thai football team and their coach trapped in the Thai
caves of Tham Luang, put the entire world into a trance with media from all over the world
covering their story. Many books have been rapidly published to accommodate the demand of
the public, enticed by this riveting story.
The masterful storytelling by Aronson will no doubt captivate young readers like myself, along
with his clearly well researched engaging quotes, this book really is for everyone. The in-depth,
yet easy to follow text is perfect for the age range Aronson is targeting (10-14 year old?s),
accompanied by accurate, simple diagrams seen on pg42 and 78. His writing is littered with
informative pictures to help set the scene, which then helps the reader empathize, as for young
readers trying to understand a story from the other side of the globe can be a struggle without
these essential prompts.

In fact, well done the BCA library for providing the work experience opportunity.  (y)

If she sticks at it she's got the potential to become a very good writer one day.
