What size is the spanner needed for the lower adit?

I can't remember exact size but a 'regular' size range adjustable spanner will do it.

I got the impression that it was something quite large like 25mm?

I *think* it was M16, so 24mm head? Sorry, I should know, I did organise the replacement of it a few years ago but can't find any notes. A search of the forum here might bring up the exact size as it was discussed at the time.

Pete is spot on with the M16 thread and a standard nut size of 24mm

Thanks for that, I have a <=30mm adjustable that should do nicely.
