A Glimmer of Light

I haven't seen much about it on here yet, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching Joe Biden's inauguration the other day - live, I should add. I actually put an hour aside to just watch it and do nothing else. It's the first time I've ever watched one all the way through, and although very strange, it was also very optimistic. The highlight for me was Amanda Gorman, the Youth Poet Laureate, who performed a special piece. There's an article here, and the video of her oratory - it's only five minutes, and well worth watching:

Yes, I enjoyed her poetry too.  What a great young woman, so confident in front of all those people...  and looked so cool  8)

An era where a glimering light meant your stinky was about to go out.
The joy felt after fettling it
New light that would lead to the end of the tunnel
Fresh air the smell of grass
Re birth

That was funny, but not as funny as his other one on Boris's covid...
