Inserting AN photos into posts

This is a test of the system, not an exemplar of my photographic prowess. 

An underground reversible water wheel in Rammelsberg Ag/Zn/Pb/Cu mine in Germany (my photo).

It can be found on AN by navigating to Rammelsberg Silver Mine > Photographs of Rammelsberg

The AditNow page displaying the photo is at https://www.aditnow.co.uk/Photo/Reconstructed-Reversible-Water-Wheel-In-Motion-Roeder-System_48033/

It should be emphasised that the above method of inserting images bypasses the AditNow copyright statement. Photos should not be used without permission.

Did you just copy the AN link into your text on here to get the photos up ?

For posting photos that are already hosted on AN, you want to use the first method described.

You can also press the "quote" button on Skimble's post to have a look at the code he used.

No, Roy there aren't any photos to see at the moment, hopefully our new mining friends will take a look at 'How to post photographs onto the forum' and have a go

Neither can I now, though I certainly could when I posted originally. I wonder what has changed.

I can see it now, but couldn't before - ok, one for Q....

I couldn't see it earlier, then I refreshed and it came back...

The code is there for the picture...

Most likely a https cross-origin header issue.

I recommend adding photos directly to your postings for the time being, just click "attachments and other options".

The issue could well be work being done on the aditnow site.

Although it is back again now...

If you're worried about the permissions then just use a standard link, as they are more stable than the photos.

Yes. It peroidically doen't like the image being displayed in a website other than the image host.
