My brother sent this link the other day, fills 10 minutes of quiet time.

It's (note use of apostrophe) rather good once you ignore the bloke's voice over, it is ( :tease: ) from the Yorkshire Film Archive, so may well be somewhere on AditNow as well, but I can't recall seeing it, christwigg or simonrail may well know with much more certainty.

End of an Era was filmed at North Skelton, the last Cleveland ironstone mine to close, in early 1964.
I'm sure I've heard rumours they actually went back down after the last shift to film, it seems pretty 'quiet' in the footage.

The winding house is about all that remains, within the active site of Tees Components.
