Survex to Google Earth - Advice

The objective is to display a cave survey in Google Earth to see if there are surface features close to several avens.
I took the Survex .3d file and ran it through 3dtopos to get the station, eastings and northings into a s/sheet.  The eastings and northings were adjusted to OSGB references.  A csv file for GPSBabel was created (name, bng_z(os sheet), bng_e, bng_n) and GPSBabel used to create a Google Earth kml file. The file displayed perfectly in G/Earth.

Are there any better solutions and any pitfalls in the above?
