So the site is "UK Caving" not "Strictly Come Caving", fair enough. We have a"pub" section on aditnow, but there are still certain subjects we avoid. I could give some of the stuff on here both barrels but I choose to keep out of it.
A few people would maybe think me not such a nice bloke.
This site has improved a lot recently, on AN we no longer take the piss. I would say that its a move in the right direction.

Yes, it is a good place to be.
Another way at looking at things, but from the perspective I am taking above is that I think we would all agree that there is a lot of trouble in the world, quite a bit on our own doorstep. Our mutual interest in going underground, and even more so when we doing it, is a rather nice refuge from what is going on out there.

In 2012 on aditnow we had someone come on with "how do I go about buying a mine". Well no one said the obvious "ask Roy" but it appears that a lot of people believed that the world was going to end in December and a mine would provide a safe refuge. of course, the arguments and counter arguments went back and forth with the chap totally convinced that it was going to happen.
Of course, when it didn't, he just disappeared the way they always do.
