I agree with the trip underground idea. I think to attact people of perhaps younger ages who lets face it likely crave excitement like I still do, then maybe caving trips should be offered as part of hidden earth experiance for those that want. Obviosuly not long trips ones but that will bring extra interest and a talk could be even be made in the cave. I assume most who do not attend do not attend because they would rather be actually caving, that was the reason I did not go to the first two or three, when I started caving.
Also another point its probbably best to not call lectures, lectures who at uni age want's to attend more lectures then they have to? Maybe simply call them talks instead?
