I've got a large roof box for a car that we no longer need, as you can see from the photos it's seen better days but is serviceable, you'll need your own roof bars. Collection from near Milnthorpe, it is too large to go inside a car so it will have to go on top.

(I have no idea why that photo is upside down, it's fine on my PC)

Not strictly caving related, but may be of use to a caver:  Remains of Land Rover Discovery 200tdi (the good bits, not the rusty bits)

I recently sent my old disco to the big scrap yard in the sky, but I took everything worth having off it before it went... I've sold most of the valuable stuff already and now I want some space back, so if any of the below is any use, please take it away in exchange for a donation to your local cave rescue team.

FREE, NO QUESTIONS ASKED
Front inner wings (previously fitted, but far too good to scrap, classic place to fail an MOT)
Front outer wings (these have been cut to take flared arches, but otherwise ok)
Bonnet
Front axel body
Steering wheel, column, box
Front seats and belts
Fold up boot seats (with fitting kit)
Most wiring
Springs/ shocks (standard length)
Front/ rear trailing arms
Full exhaust system (scruffy and welded up in a few places, but no leaks)
String of 6 spotlights for roof bar, with wiring (a few are cracked, but they worked last time I checked)
Tubular steel rear bumper (solid, but needs some work)
Brake callipers, ful set (probably need a rebuild, though I did do them shortly before I parked it up, so might be ok...)
Various other bits of junk...

FREE, if you need a specific bit, (otherwise I'll keep as spares for myself)
Full set of glass
Lights, window/ wiper motors, door solenoids, switches etc

FREE, to genuine good cause only (you'll need to convince me), otherwise
NOT FREE, but open to sensible offers

LT77 Gearbox (complete with transfer box and in good running order)
Differential (front or rear, they are the same :) )
Front prop shaft
Rear half shafts
Front half shafts
CV joints (genuine ones and only done about 10,000 miles)
Full floor/ sill repair panels, both sides, NEW, never fitted
16x8J alloy wheels with 265/70/R16 Marrix Puma mud terrain tyres, loads of tread and no damage (set of 4)
2" Wheel spacers, with fixings (set of 4)
Electric winch (stopped working one day and never got around to seeing what was wrong...)

Caver post, or collection near Bristol or Mendip depending on how big... (y)

Obviously the above is offered on the condition that you use it (or give it to someone who will), not just flog it on ebay  :kiss2:

Before this lot goes to recycling...
I've 3 x pairs of 'used' jet fins and some Speleotechnics chargers etc.
Pix on request...
Cheers,
Graham.

Please can I claim the Jet Fins? I can certainly use at least one pair and I can find a good home for at least one other pair.

I suspect you're down south and I'm up north but I can seek help from fellow cavers to get them couriered up here.

I'll send a PM.

I?ll also take a pair of the jetfins please.

If you?re around Mendip or S Wales, I could possibly take Pitlamps up to Yorkshire this coming weekend?

Thanks for the offer to help with transport - however, I think the fins were collected from Addy last night, so they're already making their way up north.

This topic reminded me that I need to clear out a few things...
All for collection from Bristol/ Mendip area, or by caver post.

First up, as per the above topic, 1 HB helmet with Speleotecnics 7 LED headset and Petxl Zoom battery box with 4xAA  battery tray. This was always pretty reliable and probably still works fine, but in the world of new LEDs and batteries, it would make sense to upgrade it a bit. Very versatile battery box (though not waterproof) and really solid reliable headset. These helmets are pretty comfortable too.

Free, but please make a donation to your local cave rescue team.

Next on the list is this rather retro canoe helmet with bracket for two lamps on the front. I'd not recommend this for caving, but a perfectly reasonable helmet for cave diving.

Donation to cave rescue if you feel the need.

Finally (for now), one rather nice Joe Brown helmet.

This is a piece of history and I'd rather see it go to a good home than languish in my garage. I'm not just going to give it to anyone, but if anyone does want it, drop me a PM and tell me why you want it and what you are going to do with it ("stick it on ebay" isn't the right answer) and we can take it from there.

As above, a donation to your local cave rescue team is expected for this one.

That'd look mighty fine on my shelf with my carbide lamp attached to it, would you say it's old enough to attach a carbide lamp to it, and look from the right era?

Looks like my old hang gliding helmet, bought in the 1970's from the legend Bill Moyes.

That would look mighty fine on this old head to climb in

I have my dads old caving texolex helmet which would have been well used in the 1960's when he was a member of the Leeds caving club. Seems a shame for it to end up just being thrown out but not sure if anyone can use it for an exhibit or a display item at all? Happy to post it

Is the diameter of the zoom bezel similar to a pitlamp?  (I lost my zoom somewhere in alps in the 90s so can't check). I think so??? and someone could  https://customduo.co.uk/Pitlamp-Modules-1/  if they wanted.
