Settle co op is fantasticThe Co-op in Ingleton is shockingly bad for vegan food. However, the Co-op in Bentham is amazing.

Oops... that could be partially my faultUnfortunately they'd run out of my favourite Ramona's humous in Settle Co-op today.
Bit of a personal disaster for me as, although I'm not vegetarian, I'm addicted to it!
Oops... that could be partially my faultyou shouldn't have told me about it! Although I can say that the Sacla humous is extremely good too - but the portion sizes aren't as great!
Good idea. Not too keen on the Sacla stuff - a bit to creamy and unctious for my liking - doesn't have the density. That Ramona stuff is pretty good.
You could always make sure you've got a jar of tahini and a can of chickpeas in store cupboard for emergencies.
Evidently it's not your fault. I was told today in Settle Co-op that they'd stopped stocking Ramona's humous. Bit of a personal disaster that. Maybe those of us who like it should write to the manager to implore them to resume stocking it!Oops... that could be partially my faultyou shouldn't have told me about it! In that case we'll see what reply comes back from Ramona's - then moither the manager at Settle until (s)he get's so sick of being perstered it appears on the shelves once again!Co-op stores individually choose what they stock
What tofu jerky strips? They sound good. I currently get through three blocks of tofu per day.I've had good luck bringing couscous with dried veg and spices—just add hot water and it’s ready in minutes. Also pack nuts, flapjacks, and those tofu jerky strips.
I usually pack oatcakes, peanut butter, dried fruit, and some flapjacks I make myself. Recently, I’ve started bringing a few things from a natural foods company that does decent vegan snacks—nut bars and dried tofu strips are handy and don’t take up much space. They’ve been holding up well even on longer trips underground.I've had good luck bringing couscous with dried veg and spices—just add hot water and it’s ready in minutes. Anzac biscuits (flapjack family) make an excellent u/g snack. Homemade ones are by far the best (especially the ones Aussie Steve makes).I usually pack oatcakes, peanut butter, dried fruit, and some flapjacks I make myself.
