Unfortunately they'd run out of my favourite Ramona's humous in Settle Co-op today.
Bit of a personal disaster for me as, although I'm not vegetarian, I'm addicted to it!

Oops... that could be partially my fault 😂 you shouldn't have told me about it! Although I can say that the Sacla humous is extremely good too - but the portion sizes aren't as great!

Not too keen on the Sacla stuff - a bit to creamy and unctious for my liking - doesn't have the density. That Ramona stuff is pretty good.

You could always make sure you've got a jar of tahini and a can of chickpeas in store cupboard for emergencies.

Ah - guilty as charged!

They did say they'd be getting more in midweek though.

I once saw the "caving hut recipe" for making humous, from what just happened to be there.
It involved some leftover (cold) mushy peas, some garlic puree and the scrapings out from a jar of mayonnaise.
Better than starving, I guess!

Evidently it's not your fault. I was told today in Settle Co-op that they'd stopped stocking Ramona's humous. Bit of a personal disaster that. Maybe those of us who like it should write to the manager to implore them to resume stocking it!

I just emailed Ramona's - their website says that Co-op still stocks their stuff - to ask them what's happening re Settle Co-op. Otherwise the nearest place is all the way over at Lancaster (Sainsbury's). If I learn anything useful I'll post here.

This is their website by the way:

Co-op stores individually choose what they stock
In that case we'll see what reply comes back from Ramona's - then moither the manager at Settle until (s)he get's so sick of being perstered it appears on the shelves once again!

I buy whatever Booths has to offer generally, but you could could always get Tesco to deliver.

Or is this a Co-op thing? I avoid the Co-op normally, because once you are up in the west coast it is the only shop for weeks/months at a time. I need to space it out.
