I think sidetrack is going to be featured on INSIDE OUT program on BBC1 I think its 6.30 on Monday night.
Started thinking about this the other night. Now sidetrack is (was) clearly one of the best preserved pieces of passage in the peak. Its fairly tight in sections near delicate formations - there are large sections of fragile calcited floor and stal/curtains in vunerable places abound.
When I went in it had hardly seen any traffic. Now I know its seen a lot more traffic as word has spread so Im interested to see how its standing up to traffic. Especially a bbc film crew and some ex boxer presenter. I suppose Ill reserve judgement till Ive seen the program and been back down sidetrack to see the state of play.
I understand Jim Thompson and John Taylor have been involved in taping off some areas for conservation. However this was after the filming. Good work lads.
