Easter caving plans
« on: March 18, 2008, 08:56:50 pm »
Has any one got any trips planned yet for the Easter period?
The weather in the Dales has been pretty dry over the last few days.
Caving, beats shopping!

We have 'facilities'....
Yes throughout the easter bank holiday weekend many many many facilities will be open for use both inside and out side of Cwmorthin Slate mine were the facilities will enable you to haul many tons of slate spoil out of the smoke flue or assist with re-timbering the lake level adit and clearing out of the mine inside. The facilities include a hut and other .... huts... Please do not drive your 4x4 up the path unless your carrying equipment up then you will have to drive back down again then walk back up again.

Anyone interested in caving on Easter Monday or any day until Friday?
I'm currently self-unemployed and looking for some fun.

Apols, I was being a bit tongue-in-cheeky!

Still one of the most common questions I get asked about caving: "Is it dark?"

;D ah yes, that classic question.. We have to remember of course that we can't go caving at the moment because it's winter and it rained the other day so they will all be full of water! ::)

But we'll soon be able to do more caving when the clocks change and the daylight lasts longer.

Jude and I will be doing Rowten on Wednesday if anyone is feeling deprived of caving and wants to join us.

If you do go caving and it's dark (outside) be warned - you may be in danger of missing last orders  :o

We're now doing Rowten on Thursday if anyone wants to join us. Also, if anyone is at a loose end tomorrow, I am mad keen to go caving again, any takers?
