Recently there was long thread about the BCA. I can now post possible answers to some of the questions, such as "Why is the BCA still raising membership prices when there is a significant amount still left in its coffers?"
can also vouch for the matienzo expedition, relaxed and friendly, and loads of new cave still to be explored. they usually have a meeting in Clapham bunkhouse around February time, a social and some planning.
There is also the ongoing Caving in the Abode of the Clouds project in Meghalaya, India. There's an annual expo to the region in association with the Meghalaya Adventurers. The Grampian Speleological Society are heavily involved with it and members go every year.
Actually, I believe a couple of Brynmawr members have been and may be looking to go again in 2018 so might be worth having a chat with them.
