News just in: the Tory manifesto is launching today. The BBC reports: ?Key pledges also include... a national pothole-filling programme.?

To the barricades, comrades! I will be contacting the BCA executive after breakfast and urging them to hold an emergency meeting. No pasaran!

A Conservative Party source has just told me that Mendip cavers cannot be complacent here. Rhino Rift and Thrupe Lane Swallet have both been designated as potholes, and will be among the first to be filled in.

In addition the Tories and hell bent on making it more difficult and expensive for us to go caving and potholing in our neighbouring countries.  :mad:

And most parties would say be green  use less resources and avoid travel  Afterall their is plenty to do here

Brought in to do the good work of the Tories, Contractors (CHECC) have been doing a study on the pots of the OFD streamway this weekend. They have reported that simply ignoring the potholes in the streamway will undermine the works to fill in the "Pant Mawr Pothole".

They have also outlined plans to improve their CSR policy by planting one tree for every pothole filled in the OFD streamway. Each tree will be planted on a disused track skirting the so called Cwm Dwr quarry.
