Unfortunately the headline writer just came up with the headline on his own without consulting anyone - I wasn't deep at all, at least not from the Culiembro entrance!

We are suggesting that this makes the system the deepest cave system explored by a British team (e.g. organised by Brits with a mostly British team) - this is the 'record' referred to in the article, where as the headline is obviously bollox.

Mike Bottomley and Paul (Beardy) Swire also need to be credited for the photos!
