Aiming to do a high accuracy closed loop survey in bagshawe tomorrow evening, and assume that it would be prudent to take backsights while I'm on.
Going to be using a distoX and PDA with pocket topo - but also writing results down on a note pad too.
Just wondering if anyone had any advice for taking backsights with the distoX and how pocket topo copes with them.

My guess was to take fore sights as usual legs i.e. 3 shots on the distoX, then take the back sights as single shots.

any thoughts folks  :-\

Why not just do the backshot like the foreshot? Take 3 shots & then edit the station numbers to ensure they are correct. If you do it your way PocketTopo won't "know" it's a backshot.
