Moking Hurth in Teesdale it is. A fascinating little area. On the way up from the road you come up over a series of slopes and depressions with sinks, springs and shakeholes all over the place depending where you are in the sequence - Five Yard, Three Yard, Four Fathom, and the Great Limestone.

I think that's Whin Sill in the middle distance.

It's a long time since I was last there. I remember it as being quite spacious (though my father didn't) This puts it the era before I developed body hair or shoulders and I still sang treble. Apparently there's a connection between Moking Hurth and Moking Pot - it definitely defeated us!

Was there not a Hoking Mirth as well? Google draw a blank. I vaguelly remember seeing something in a previous edition of Northern Caves.
