I regularly pack for caving weekends with my 42L backpack. It just about too small when adding in sleeping bag, toiletries, change of clothes, etc, but for just caving gear you should be fine. And given that I don't struggle carrying it, I doubt it's over 15 kg. Agree with the comments about...

(Sorry, out caving all day yesterday) No, not Short Drop / Gavel or Nettle Pot. Part of the clue is the rope coming in from below (might not be super clear from the picture) after a small traverse up in a rift - as well as the window crawl onto a ledge/balcony at the pitch head.
