The velcro has come off the tabs used for sealing the cuffs on my meander oversuit. It did this in otter hole so I got about 10L of liquid mud up my arm.  ;D I want to repair it but I am crap at sewing. Has anyone tried glueing the velcro back on? Did it work? Any tips on repairing the cuffs...

    lightweight SRT kit

I agree with Damian about the croll. even if you just use a superlight chest harness made out of a bit of bungee, it will make things a lot easier. making your security link + footloop + cowstails out of one piece of cord is pretty good as well, add one screwgate for the tibloc and one...

    global warming

Depends what you mean by small scale, from my back of envelope maths these would become feasable at about 2500 tonnes of cowsh per year as that would be enough to run a 250Kw engine. But Clarke Energy http://www.clarke-energy.co.uk/anaerobic_digestion.html say they are cheaper than composting...

    global warming

In terms of fertilizer use you get the same nutrients back out by spreading the digestate as a compost as you would by just ploughing in the material, all that comes out in the AD plant is biogas, a mixture of CO2, CH4 and N2. As for straw fired power generation sets, are you thinking of the...

    global warming

Isnt the point of an AD facility [biodigester] that it uses waste? Rapeseed straw is the example I keep hearing in this context.
