Was wondering if there is any decent through routes starting at the quarry entrance to the Masson system? My understanding that it links to Great Masson Cavern at Heights of Abraham but from the little research I've done seems like there's no access the other side.

An I right in thinking that a caving SRT kit would consist of a caving specific harness, descender, cowstails, chest ascender and appropriate krabs?

Well hence the reason of trying to find an introduction into caving with someone who knows what they're doing. I climb upwards not downwards, I know how to navigate the vertical world but I'm completely green when it comes to the subterranean

Yes mate, well caving in general. Seems like a good hobby to have as a climber seeing how wet the UK is, can always be doing something. If it's dry go climbing, if it's wet to caving
