Agen Allwedd - Priory Road Exploration

Yeah I wish it was. But it didn't/doesn't scrape a forum which is in the php-format that we used back then. Mind you all our trip reports are intact (as per the link above), but all the forum talk is lost - which is a shame because there was a lot of good reporting there and more people chipping...

Agen Allwedd - Priory Road Exploration

    > Odd that Willerup just stopped. Hi guys, One of the Willerups here. So excited to read about your activities. We had our own forum running back then on our website. It was indeed pretty active and provided a good platform for our explorations. I have tried a few years to resurrect the...

    SRT rig - cord diameters

    SRT rig - cord diameters

Wow. Seriously? That will definitely be something I need to get used to. My old ones had kept the knots the same since I tied them _and_ they were made of static rope. Now that I look at then they are without any dynamic force absorption quality what-so-ever. Bad. Thanks.

    SRT rig - cord diameters

Thanks for all the input - brillant. I will definitely play around with my rig. And yes, sorry, the mentioned ice climbing rope is not a twin rope but a half as was rightly pointed out. Important. Cheers, Mathias

    SRT rig - cord diameters

Thanks. Good point - the 8.5mm is a twin rope.

    SRT rig - cord diameters

Hi all, back into caving after a 10 year break. Loving it. So, my SRT kit is all fitted with 10mm static rope on all bits. I am obviously replacing all this, but what's the recommended cord diameters? I have a retired 8.5 meter ice climbing rope (that is in good condition) that I am keen to make...
