Glad to know that not all of the middle east is boring sandstone and people are keen to explore. I knew Iran had some caves though, due to the Ghar Paru expedition funding.

I had just come back from Jordan, beautiful, safe but no bloody caves except the very short square ones man dug out 2000 years ago.

I shared an alphabetical list of 2000 unexplored caves in Farsi on my weblog.

Today we had a one day trip to the Yakhmorad cave for continuation mapping and photography, Its an Ice cave.
The last surveyor of this cave is Mr Simon Brooks.

Adventurous 2017 Caving Expedition

Cavers can follow their adventurous wishes in a prepared irresistible place.

We explored the second deepest shaft in the world ( Ghala : -562 m ) where the deepest Iran caves are here. ( Jojar , Parau )

Join Surena caving team if you have wanderlust explore deep caves.

This event will be held during 10 days starting 31th August to 9th September.

The fee for each person is 300 USD, be charged in the event place.
