A sad day for Fountains Fell

Dear all

It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the death of Mr Eric Coates in a farming accident on Tuesday 12th April.

Cavers who would normally make a courtesy call on the farm at Fountains Fell for permission to cave may wish to offer sincere condolences to the family and not intrude too much at this difficult time.

I am sure I speak on behalf of all Dales cavers in offering our condolences to the family and their friends at this time.

Details of the funeral have emerged as I understand some cavers will be attending.

Eric Coates funeral will be on Thursday 27th April at 12.00.  at Settle Church the one opposite the Co-op garage.
