Activation problems and lack of emails from server

I just sent a mail to myself and for the first time got a notification. Even last week PMs were not getting through

I seem to be missing notifications again.

Looking in my email trash, the last notification I got was on 7/10, and I've missed notifications for a couple of threads since then, one for a thread I had posted replies to, and one for a thread I only subscribed to.
I'm not having any email problems at present.

Your suspicions are correct - there are issues server-side with email at the moment. Toby is working on it.

Hi,

I tried to sign up as "sirch" but never got an activation email, so a day later I tried sirch2 and got an email. Is there any chance of having my user name renamed - if not you might want to get rid of the original sirch user
