• Help us work out the future of the Inglesport Café

We've been trading since 1977 and next year will be our 50th anniversary.

The café has been part of that for a long time, running quietly in the background for years, and we don't think it always gets the credit it deserves as a genuine community hub. But we need to be straight with you: the café is under real pressure, and we’re not sure of the best path forward.....

Team Awesome formerly known as The Eldon Pothole Club have just returned from an epic week exploring caves in the Accursed Mountains, also known as the Albanian Alps, a mountain range in coastal Southeast Europe adjacent to the Adriatic Sea. It is the southernmost subrange of the 1,000-kilometre-long Dinaric Alps range, extending from northern Albania to western Kosovo and northeastern Montenegro. Our club has a nearly 20 year long history with this mountain range, It's a place that still feels 'out there' in terms of being self reliant, a proper rescue would certainly be tricky. Over 6 days we hiked around 40 miles, totalling a whopping 20,000ft of ascent over the week which certainly takes a toll on the body.

Below is a brief look at what we got up to on a daily basis for anyone who has a spare 10 minutes. Each reel is around 2 minutes long and I highly recommend having the sound on. These reels capture the mood of the expedition emphasising that it's not just about finding cave but more living in the moment and camaraderie between gang members and not taking it too serious.

Enjoy.
