Generally the press over dramatise everything to the point of disbelief. A tiny tree fell over down by our chip shop last week. I said jokingly " That will be in the local paper next week ". It was ! With photo. Storm damage at Taunton. The  "i" has a big photo of extensive floods in Somerset today. Yup true - down on the levels. Happens most years as water is diverted here then allowed to drain away again. Oh - a fence panel has blown over down the road. Cant wait for next weeks local paper. o_O

Daily Mail bashing is a little off topic here I think, however much of a ridiculous paper it might be; so I'm glad to see a new thread has been started just for Daily Mail haters that the rest of us don't have to trawl through.

In other news, well done Josh they are of course some great pics, as are your CHECC winning entries last year! Looks like you're making quite a name for yourself these days, are you by any chance in pursuit of the much elusive 'caving career'?

Here's to a well-lit, subterranean new year!

Thanks everyone, was nice to get published, despite it being the overly dramatic Mail Online, it's still something.  :D

It would be nice, but I think there are others filling the cave photography career spots extremely well right now, not sure if I could ever manage to go "pro". I just like taking the pictures, didn't realise how enjoyable it was, if it gets me some pocket money then it's a bonus!
