Anyone able to show me around coniston copper mines?

As a Cumbrian who sadly lives in Birmingham, I'm yet to go back up to explore the Cumbrian mines. I'm periodically up in Cumbria to visit family, and wonder if some kind hearted folk might be up for showing me around the mines some time?

If your objective is the through trip? Just follow your nose. Nice easy walk up, entrance easy to find. Enjoy

I have zero information on possible routes. Or location of the entrance haha. Plus I'd likely be there on my Todd, so ideally join up with someone who knows the lay of the land.

Anyone else think this is really dangerous advice for an inexperienced caver?
Where has he said he’s inexperienced?

The through trip is very straightforward! Anyone who’s srt component will not have a issue.

Arguably, I am relatively inexperienced, although hopefully make up for some of that with "good attitude"?

Comfortable with SRT, particularly after a recent refresher with CNCC course, but not rigged anything myself so that's a missing component I suspect.

I’ll happily show you round later on in the year. Or contact catmhs for trips they are doing.
Everything is pre rigged. The rope still seems like new tbf. Last pitch has a easy rebelay otherwise very simple stuff.

I'l happily assist in showing around, done the paddy end through trip once.

There is a beginners CATMHS trip coming up that'll be level walks and surface features- no srt

Awesome. I've had a few people reach out which is much appreciated. Unsure when I'll next be up in Cumbria, but most likely Feb-Mar time so may come knocking then. Thank you folks!
