The BCRA is very excited to announce the date of our annual Cave Science Symposium, which this year will be taking place on Saturday 12th October from 9:30am to 5pm, at Northumbria University. The symposium will be followed by an interactive monitoring workshop on Sunday 13th October featuring the use and demonstration of cave monitoring products from Goodsell Systems.

If you have some exciting cave or karst science research you’d like to present, the call for abstracts is open until 31st August, 2024. Further details on abstract submission, registration for the symposium and the workshop are in the attached circular. Entry is free of charge; however donations would be appreciated to help cover the cost of the event.

The 2024 Annual General Meeting of the BCRA will take place at the end of the morning session on the 12th October. Motions to be proposed at the AGM and Nominations for Officers and Members of Council should be submitted prior to the meeting, with the full agenda published three weeks prior to the meeting. For further details on deadlines and the agenda please visit bcra.org.uk/agm.
