    An informative discussion

Recently there was long thread about the BCA. I can now post possible answers to some of the questions, such as "Why is the BCA still raising membership prices when there is a significant amount still left in its coffers?"

Best ever songs on Boris' playlist

One wonders, or indeed the mind boggles, on what the current PM has on his playlist.
I'll start with the following about taking on those who have their hands on the gas supply and access to the space station. Carnage is really not needed.  As ever thoughts, comments, and contributions welcome. The world really needs to take a chill pill.

Thirty years old, and sort of written about the era of Iran-Contra and the rise of the televangelists, but...not much has changed really. Kind of appropriate though when folks are suddenly wondering what armies are actually for these days. Does anyone know? Anyway, I doubt Johnson has time for a playlist any more, but it might help:

Perhaps his dad has told him of a time when people were more willing to laugh at unpleasant situations?

Boris could sing to himself in the mirror, to cheer himself up a bit and remember when only 1/2 the UK hated him

"...Who am I, what and why
'Cause all I have left is my memories of yesterday
Oh these sour times
'Cause nobody loves me, it's true
Not like you do.."

I'm detecting a little bit of political bias here. As I'm sure none of us want that, and being strictly MoR myself I thought I'd better redress the balance if only slightly so here's a couple of appropriate tunes for the less than useless Starmer -

I think in current climate we should be getting behind who ever our prime minister is without mocking him or her , this country over the past few years has had the most difficult times since the second world war. Yes sure Boris had made errors , who doesn't ? but lets get united in these times and get behind him. Thing are VERY close to going horribly wrong

I don't regard any of Johnson's decisions as errors I'm afraid - they were all deliberate, and I'd happily see him in jail, frankly. He's personally responsible for most of the difficult times we've had over the past few years IMO, and there's no way I'd ever 'get behind him' as he's corrupt. Let's not forget, only two weeks ago his own party were considering sacking him - and may still yet, and should. He's a proven liar on multiple matters of national importance, so why would I believe anything he says now? The Boy Who Cried 'Wolf', etc.

The Lord of Misrule certainly hit the jackpot getting this set of World leaders in place at the same time.

Agree with pwhole but, to get back on track with the thread, "the truth was plain to see" as far as Johnson is concerned. All those who elected him as tory leader cared more about avoiding EU rules on tax evasion than they did about the consequences of their own actions.

Lord of Misrule? It is indeed a great misfortune to have this kind of leader at such a time (pandemic, wars, climate change) but it's not simply bad luck.

The only thing the Lord of Misrule could have done to make things worse would have been to keep Trump in the White House. The idea of two such paranoid narcissists facing each other really makes me shudder.
