Bilge pumps?

Attempted to bail out a sump today in Navvy noodle pot (Elbolton hill, grassington) using buckets, bloody hard work carrying them into the next chamber, after 20 minutes only managed to drop water level 4inchs. Was wondering if anyone knows where i could purchase a compact manually operated bilge pump, or maybe even construct one myself, an idea i'm toying with at present, any help would be most appreciated. thanks SI

try any ship chandlers in the yellow pages. suggest getting a plastic one if you have to carry it any distance - the steel ones can be very heavy ! (but they are more robust)

I bought one off ebay - £19 - small plastic single diaphram. There are some better double diaphram ones that the lads have used to pump the rasp sump in Peak cavern. Bit more expensive though.
