I have read the Wensleydale section of Caves and Karst of the Yorkshire Dales vol2 it states that most of the water sinking in the Bishopdale Gavel Pots resurges at West Pasture Scar Cave does anyone know if this has been proven by dye testing.

Not sure but Tony H will know as he also wrote a paper on the hydrology of the area and lives locally.
Drop him a nice e mail, his address is in the C&KSc article that you have read and the local hydrology paper is referenced in the article as well.

I think that the water from Pot No.4 (at least) goes to a small rising only about 100 yards away. (Note - this is not based on an actual dye test.)

I believe that West Pasture Scar Cave is so sharp and unforgiving that the original discovers never completed a survey, even though they were all extremely competent cavers and they did try quite hard to produce one.
