Bizarre "tourist" death in world's deepest known cave

I was just asked to post the following letter from Society of Volunteer Cave-Rescuers (SDS) in Russia:

Dear colleagues!

On behalf of our organization, the Union of Volunteer Speleologists Rescuers of Russia, I express my great gratitude to you and all speleologists in Great Britain for your support and desire to help. We really appreciate it. We would be happy to work with you and learn from your experience. This time it was difficult to implement. But we hope to cooperate with you and your organization in the future, and not only due to emergency incidents in caves, but also in joint expeditions, training events, conferences or friendly meetings. We are always glad to see you personally or your colleagues in Russia and invite you all to visit us whenever possible. There would be a great pleasure for us to go caving together and show you our country.

At the moment, the work has been successfully completed and there is no longer a need to raise funds.
