Canon DSLR for sale

I'm selling my trusty Canon 350d and wanted to see if any cavers are interested (before it goes through the frustrations of ebay).

It's completely functional and has never let me down over the couple of years that I've been using it for. Paired with the right lens, it really is capable of excellent images.

However, I've taken it underground (though very well wrapped) on a number of occasions and it bears a few marks from this. Most are from the tape put over it, but there is a small scratch on the screen and a tiny one on the zoom out button. The rubber flap for the usb port is also missing. Naturally I've never exposed it to water, dropped it, or exposed it to anything but care.

I'm happy to offer it as the body only or the body with a few extra bits.

I'd like:
?60 for the camera body, strap, 2 batteries and charger
?20 for the battery grip
?20 for the 28mm f2.8 lens used for the shots shown in the links below, and the m42 to EF adapter
?30 for the 18-55mm Canon kit lens

How did you manage to get the .jpg link from Flickr?

This bit: https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8750/16913947078_6cd58010c9_s.jpg

I've never been able to make it work either?

I can get images from other sources to work, but not Flickr. When I right click on an image in Flickr all it gives me is the page link, not the photo link.

Bottlebank, when you're on Flickr at the image you want to paste, click the "Share" button (it's the swooshy arrow) and select the ""BBCode" option, it will give you the forum code to paste directly in here (as seen below). There's some URL code that can/should be removed, and you can also change the height if desired.

Code:

Thanks Filter/Pegasus,

I'd got that far, but all you can get is a link for the thumbnail, you can then increase the size but the quality is poor.

e.g:

Is there a way of embedding a full size shot from Flickr?

I suppose all this is a bit off topic, sorry?

If you go to the Page Info (right click the image in Firefox), the infobox will have the full-size image link. The other option is to look at the page source, but that gets a bit messy.

Re: how to get different image sizes (as Filter says, use share and find link, you can usually select what size you want), there's a quick way of altering size once you have gained a link from Flickr. Handy if you select the wrong size and need to change it without the hassle of going back to Flickr, selecting a different size, finding url etc..

Looking at the link above (the same can be applied to the link Bottlebank posted)- https: //farm8.staticflickr.com/7638/16481584123_b9a3133d40_s.jpg - you will see I've highlighted the "s" near the end, that "s" can be changed to:
s - square
t - thumbnail
m - bigger, still small
n - reasonable, still a little small
z - respectable for use in a forum (for size see photo on previous post by Filter)
b - large (usually too big to view properly on a forum)
o - original (as above)

I'm happy to sell the 28mm lens separate, but (and I probably should have mentioned this), it is a completely manual lens. To take a picture, you:
Open the aperture,
Focus by hand,
Close the aperture.

Or:
Guess what distances you want in focus, then set the scale on the side of the camera.

There is no communication with the camera whatsoever with this lens, let alone, autofocus. It is also not made by Canon. Please forgive me if that's patronizing, but I like to make sure people know what they're getting. If you're still interested, let me know.

Thanks Inferus (and Filter), that makes it a lot easier!
