The film 47 Metres Down: Uncaged is available to view on iplayer (whether you'd want to is another matter). Four american teen girls decide to cave dive into a submerged Mayan temple, where they encounter rockfalls, whirlpools and blind cave sharks!! A long way away from muddy UK sumps!! Its the sequel to the film 47 Metres Down and there's another coming 47 Metres Down: The Wreck.

The archeaologists cave divers who are working down there have rigged up loads of lights and even an underwater sound system; full face masks with inbuilt radios are another technological advancement. There's some limited flowstone in the background but no handy stalagtites with which to fight offthe cave sharks (they missed out on that one).

It's quite obvious that any sequel to 47m down should've been called 48m down. What were they thinking?

48m down is an exciting 10 minute action film, followed by a really long sequence of them playing hangman and naughts and crosses on a dive slate for deco.
