hi there quick question for anyone that can help, is it possible for caves to form in inferior oolite, as i have a digging project that is following a almost vertical bedrock, and air flow coming from somewhere below.

Where in the inferior Oolite?
Is it East Mendip?
There is Carboniferous Limestone below the Inferior Oolite over most of East Mendip and a few caves actually formed on the unconformity. If you want/need more info give me a shout as the study of Mendip unconformity caves made up a substantial part of my dissertation at uni.  (y)
