Cave with green gate after ingleburgh show cave

Went to Gaping gill on sat and noticed there is a gated entrance to a cave on the left between the show cave and Trow gill anyone know its name? as i cant seem to find any info on it, cheers.....

There's only two caves (that I can think of) on the left; Beck Head a short distance past the stile has always been open / not gated (that I've seen), and just before Trow Gill is Foxholes, which is/was gated somewhere - no idea though as I've never looked at it!

It's Lower Foxholes.

It was greatly extended in 1993 and an article was written at the time for the next NPC Journal. Which is just about to come out - honestly . . . . . .

Is it not that cave with the abandoned dig as it keeps silting up again?

I don't know what you're referring to here Alex but I can confirm that the only entrance with a green gate between the show cave and Trow Gill is Lower Foxholes.

You mean Foxholes, which was dug out to provide a back entrance into Ingleborough Cave. I believe it is now silted up and gated.
