Gah. Let's try that again without accidentally hitting return, and then the 10-min edit timer running out.
Our trusty old camper is for sale because we bought a fancy Euro6 much newer one (which I am already regretting somewhat after a fight with the ECU complaining about the pollution control system!).
It's a Peugeot Expert so quite small by modern camper standards, but it's fine for two or luxurious for one, and you can sensibly use it as an only vehicle.
If you want a camper for caving/mountain biking/climbing but don't have 10 grand to spare, and are reasonably handy for keeping a old-but-sound van going, this might be ideal. It's way too nice to just scrap and will either last a few more years with minimal fettling, or more or less forever if you put in some more effort/money. The bed is entirely removable so it can easily be used as a van for shifting sheets of plywood or whatever.
As it's 26 years old now and the camper conversion I did was in 2002, various things are a bit tired (split drivers seat, torn curtains, various dings and scratches), but it's still sound (not rusty), and has been extremely reliable over the last 22 years. I can give the full fettling history if you care.
It's on ebay as

Preference given to cavers, so make me a suitable offer and I'll cancel the auction (assuming I'm allowed to?). I'd just like to see it get a bit more use from someone who will appreciate it (and the wife would like it off the drive
The MOT ran out in May and I've not bothered to send it in, so it'll need a new one. It passed with no advisories last year and has only done 4000 miles since so the chances are quite good that nothing needs doing, but of course you don't know until you try. It's had brakes, suspension arms, steering gaiters, CV gaiters, brake pipes, rear diverter valve, front wheel bearings all replaced in the last few years, so most of the things that might need doing on a car this age have been renewed.
One major advantage of this van is that it's entirely electromechanical - 1997 was the last year before just about everything had an ECU. So you can just fix stuff, or change it, to your hearts content. There are zero computers to argue with about whether pollution systems are working or your seatbelts are plugged in, or whether the radio power stays on when the ignition is off, and so on. Everything can be made just how you want it
